The film “Pienkaupunkisinfonia” / “Picturing a Micropolis” will be screened as a part of the The Kino Pleme / Live Soundtrack project in Florence, Italy on April 13th. The screening will take place at the local ARTiglieria venue and the film will be accompanied by a new live score performed on the spot by Transink. More info here and here.

AV-arkki (the distribution centre for Finnish media art) has just published its distribution catalog for 2023-2024 and “Vesitornisinfonia” / “Water Tower Symphony” is one of the selected works. The catalog was curated by the AV-arkki staff and guest curator Julian Ross. More info here.
The film “Pienkaupunkisinfonia” / “Picturing a Micropolis” will be screened as a part of the The Kino Pleme / Live Soundtrack project in Podgorica, Montenegro on November 28th. A shortened preview version of the film “Vesitornisinfonia” / “Water Tower Symphony” is now on display at Studio Mustanapa, Rovaniemi, Finland. The full film will be released in 2023, but this special preview version will be exhibited until October 18th 2022. More info here and here.
I’m currently working on a film called “Vesitornisinfonia” / “Water Tower Symphony“. Although the full film will be released in 2023, some shorter special versions will appear in a few selected events before that. The first one of these is a shortened five screen installation version of the piece with music by Lauri Uusitalo. This version was created especially for the media art event “Outoja Tiloja” (“Odd Spaces“), which will take place in Rovaniemi, Finland between September 9th and 11th 2022. More info here.

The film “Pienkaupunkisinfonia: 96100-97690″/ “Picturing a Micropolis:96100-97690” will be screened in Helsinki, Finland in November 2021 as a part of the “Space, Environment, Architecture” – exhibition. The exhibition is first on display in Puristamo, Cable Factory from November 3rd to 7th, and after that in MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Centre in the same building till November 21st. The film Pienkaupunkisinfonia/Picturing a Micropolis is now on display in the Artists’ Association of Lapland’s 30th anniversary exhibition “Wiping the Ice-Cream Off your Face – 30 Nordic Artists’ Perception on De-Arctification“.
